Dear Komen Portland Race for the Cure® Volunteer,

The year 2002 marks the 11th Annual Komen Portland Race for the Cure®, to be held on Sunday, September 15th at Waterfront Park in downtown Portland.  The Race, benefiting the Oregon & SW Washington Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, has become a huge success due in large part to the work of over 1,000 volunteers in this community, working together to eradicate breast cancer.  This year, as we plan for the 2002 Race, we ask you to help make this important event possible.  This event and the work it supports would not happen without the support and commitment of volunteers such as yourself, and we hope you’ll join us this year!

Race Weekend Volunteer Opportunities

In mid-June, we will send out the detailed schedule and sign up form for Race Weekend volunteer opportunities and the preparation leading up to this great event.

We hope you are able to support this year’s Race by volunteering this spring.  If you have any questions, would like to receive a volunteer form, or are interested in getting involved throughout the year, please leave a message in the Volunteer Mailbox of the Race hotline at (503) 553-3680, or an email to racecure@komenoregon.org, and we will respond to your inquiry as soon as possible.
